ABOUT DUANE SHARP

My performing career started when I began acting and boxing at the age of ten. I loved training and performing in both through college but finally decided that it was slightly more fun to act than get punched in the face. So after graduating with a B.A. in theater from the University of Kansas, I moved to Chicago to study improvisation at The Second City and IO with the late Del Close. Since then, I’ve done almost everything in the performance realm but disc jockey.

I’ve enjoyed combat sports most of my life. Currently, I am a purple belt in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu under Carlson Gracie Jr.   I’ve also earned a Black Belt in Shidokan Karate, been a Weekend War kickboxing winner, a veteran of 60 amateur boxing matches and a fight choreographer.

I live in Skokie, IL with my lovely and talented wife Jenn Udoni-Sharp (sound engineer extraordinaire), our wonderful daughter JoJo and our kitties, Mitchy and Connecticut.
